Biography of Dr. Thomas E. Slayton, Jr.

951 306- 2750

Dr. Thomas E. Slayton, Jr. is an anointed minister who, by many in the body of Christ, is called the “Miracle Man”.  Brother Tom’s assignment is to bring the healing and delivering power of the Word to this generation.  During the past 27 years of ministry, numerous miracles and healings have occurred.  The blind see, the deaf hear, terminal diseases disappear through the healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Brother Tom believes Matthew 10:8, where Jesus told the disciples to heal the sick, cleanse the leper, raise the dead, and cast out devils.

Dr. Tom believes miracles, healing, and deliverance is a part of our salvation through Jesus Christ. The Word of God works by faith for those who work the Word by faith.

Brother Tom was born-again as a small boy.  He was raised attending church regularly.  For a season, he left regularly attending church as a young man.  One Sunday morning in September of 1978, his wife, Gale, was watching a local minister on television and shared an interest in attending that church.  Brother Tom attended with his family and rededicated his life to the Lord.

From the very time Brother Tom rededicated his life to the Lord, he never turned back.  He began to do an intense bible study, which ignited a fire in his soul and never has gone out.

After moving to Beaumont, California, the Slayton family joined a church and Brother Tom had a desire to pray for the sick.  The first person the Pastor assigned Brother Tom to pray for was a lady that was bowed over and after prayer, she was whole!  Little did Brother Tom realize that upon his arrival home, while sharing with his wife God's goodness, the thief came and stole the life from his ten-year old son.  While doing CPR and praying over his son's dead body, he received the gift of faith and after 45 minutes, his son was raised from the dead.  This gift of special faith manifested itself again when Dr. Slayton’s medical doctor was raised from the dead while on life support in his city's hospital.

Because the gifts and callings of God are without repentance, Dr. Slayton still operates with the anointing of the gift of faith.  Pastoring for 18 years gives him tenderness toward Pastors; their needs, and how to minister to their congregations.  Now that Dr. Slayton is serving the body of Christ internationally, the gifts God endowed him with are a blessing in a tremendous way.

THE MINISTRY OF GALE SLAYTON

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.  For I determined not to know any thing among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling and my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.  I Corinthians 2:1-4

These verses so exemplify the ministry of Gale Slayton.  With her husband of 41 years, Dr. Thomas E. Slayton, Jr., Gale co-pastored, taught, and was the leader of the praise and worship team for 16 years at their church, Valley Believers Christian Center in Hemet, California.

After Dr.Tom embarked on a field ministry in fulfillment of a life time call, Gale standing by his side, continues to preach, teach and instruct in many varying subjects. Gale really blesses groups large and small, teaching faith, love, the glory, God’s holding power, grace, healing, marriage and family to name a few subjects.  Her plethora of experience makes her a great help to her husband Dr. Tom and a wonderful blessing to the body of Christ.

Outside of the church, Gale was co-director of Banning Public Library, where she was employed for 19 years.  Through her efforts and direction from God, she was able to oversee an addition to the library, and help a growing city meet its literacy needs. After leaving the Banning Library she was employed at the Hemet Public Library for 6 years as Assistant Library Director.  She is also a full-time mother, raising two of their three adopted sons, ages 13 and 15 and a 20 year old away at college.

She knows what it means when the bible says, “Having done all to stand, stand therefore….”  She shares the experience of a mother’s turmoil and sorrow and getting through hard times when her son was electrocuted and drowned in the bathtub and  standing in faith 7 months while he was in a coma, her daughter sought out the comfort of the world.

She and her husband are currently pastoring again in Hemet, California where the Lord originally launched the Slaytons in ministry.  You will be blessed while listening to the testimony of how God still comes through for his children.

The Face of an angry man

As he blasted through the red light in front of me, he looked at me as though I had done something to him. In that short glimpse, I could see his face was hot with anger. Mouth in a snarl, teeth locked in the gritted position. I stuck both of my hands in the air showing my dissatisfaction. Passed behind him and went my way not giving him another thought. A few moments later, there he was right besides he. He was ticked. I tried to slow down and let him pass even though he was on my right. He slowed with me He was mouthing something. I accelerated trying to get out of his way. He chased me. Now he was really ferrous. Pulling along side of me, he shouted out of his opened window, at the same time jerking his car towards mine. I swerved to avoid his hitting me. Now I was mad too. I couldn’t figure what was wrong with him. I continued accelerating up the hill. Dang, he did it again. As we topped the hill, I jerked my car towards his. Not to hit him, but to let him know two can play this game. To my surprise, he was in the process of jerking his car into mine. We touched fenders. My car being the heavier of the two caused his lighter vehicle to careen out of control

I don’t think he saw the caddy parked on the side of the road. The impact sounded like a bomb had gone off. He must have been going fifty. I parked and ran back to where he was. He was crushed in his car. He was dead! Oh my God, what am I going to do now. Quickly I called for help on my cell phone. The police and the ambulance came but it was to late.

What happened said the officer? As I was about to tell him, a lady in a blue car pulled over and said, ”Officer, I saw the whole thing, That man, pointing to me, knocked that little car into the parked car. I saw him when he jerked his car into him.” Wait a minute I said angrily, that’s not what happened. The officer, raising one eyebrow with a look of cautions look on his face radioed for back up. He then said sir, I’m sorry, I have to place you under arrest for this, as he pointed to the wreckage.

My heart nearly stopped. I didn’t do any thing wrong I yelled, I,I, I……..

It is so good to know that this incident never happened, it’s hypothetical, but it could easily have. I use it to stress wisdom.

                          WISDOM:     ANGER CLOUDS GOOD JUDGEMENT

Most people would never think or imagine striking another person with their car or any thing else for that matter. However, in the heat of anger, we can become unpredictable, allowing judgement to fly far from us.

Anger is something that may not even be in us, but seems to come upon us when lease expected.

As in the situation above, in a moment, anger, or the reaction to anger caused: loss of freedom, time and money. Wives have lost their husband. Mothers their sons. Children their fathers and on and on. All caused by, the face of and angry man.

The problem with anger, is at the moment of the outburst, the reason for it has past.
